FILM FESTIVAL

Dance Camera West
Dance Film Festival

2006 Schedule & Tickets Offering the most outstanding examples of dance on screen, a rich medium that smashes the boundaries to redefine both dance and film, the Los Angeles Dance Camera West Film Festival stretches our imaginations and the way we think about dance.

As we enter our fifth year, we are presenting screenings and special events throughout the year. In June, the month-long Dance Film Festival will once again pulsate throughout the official city of cinema, bringing the burgeoning art of dance film to the surface, as Dance Camera West presents the newest and most innovative examples of dance for camera and dance media from around the globe.

Founded in 2001, the Dance Camera West Film Festival has established itself as a new and vital ingredient in LA’s evolving cultural landscape. Ever-growing in audience, prestige and impact, this dance film festival has presented over 500 international dance films since its first festival in 2002, making it the leading voice for the innovative new genre of Dance Art Film.

As the world of dance, film, and dance media evolve to include new innovative forms, so does our festival and our organization evolve to include new venues, new events and new audiences. We are always interested in seeing everything that the dance film world has to offer, and we encourage you to send us your work. We now take submissions throughout the year.

We warmly thank all of our supporters and associates as Dance Camera West welcomes its artists and audiences to another adventure in space, time and motion, set against the glorious backdrop that only Los Angeles provides.
