Dance Camera West
Film Screening
MVMNTFest LA x DCW x LA POPS UP
Wed. July 29, 8PM
LADP Studios 2245 E Washington Blvd, Los Angeles CA
MovementFest LA is a new dance festival connecting where dance is trained, created, performed, and shared with the public, running July 27–August 9 across Los Angeles. Dance Camera West brings LA POPS UP to MovementFest LA for a one-night-only program that celebrates DCW's role in transforming Los Angeles into a vibrant home for screen dance. The evening honors both the early mission of DCW, which introduced LA audiences and artists to significant works from around the world at a time when dance film had not yet developed a strong independent presence locally and continues with a brand new selection of current films in LA POPS UP that highlights contemporary Los Angeles–based artists.
