Check Your Body at the Door
Directed by Sally Sommer
Check Your Body at the Door is a documentary about some remarkable underground House dancers in NYC. Filmed during the golden decade of the 1990s, it follows a core group of master free-stylists in to the clubs, at their jobs and in their everyday lives. Also filmed in the studio against a white background, in silhouette or in light pools, their virtuosic moves and choreography are striking.
