What makes a dance film stand out? Explore the artistic and technical decisions that make a good dance film with DCW’s Executive/Artistic Director and Filmmaker Kelly Hargraves. 

Since 2000, Dance Camera West has been a platform for films that push the boundaries of movement and cinema. In this workshop, Kelly will walk filmmakers through the DCW judging criteria, informed by timeless elements of the craft: pacing & rhythm, narrative structure, editing, sound design and more. She’ll also share standout films from past years to give concrete examples of what resonates and why.
